This page is about injectable GHK-Cu, the compounded, reconstituted-in-a-vial form — not the topical copper-peptide serums and creams sold over the counter, which are a different product category with a different regulatory picture entirely. There is no approved product or dosing standard behind this calculator
GHK-Cu has never had an FDA-approved injectable drug product. DailyMed, the National Library of Medicine's official archive of FDA-approved drug labeling, does return a handful of results for "copper peptide" and "GHK" — but every one of them is a topical, over-the-counter cosmetic product (face serums, a hair-growth serum, a sunscreen) that lists copper tripeptide-1 as one cosmetic ingredient among several, not an FDA-reviewed drug application with GHK-Cu as its active ingredient and a dosing label. That distinction matters here specifically: GHK-Cu's large, legitimate topical skincare market does not extend any regulatory standing to the injectable, compounded form this calculator page is about.
Injectable GHK-Cu's own compounding status is unsettled, and less far along than some other peptides' on this calculator: FDA's interim Section 503A bulks list splits GHK-Cu by route of administration — non-injectable GHK-Cu sits in Category 1 (no intended FDA enforcement action), while injectable GHK-Cu specifically sat in Category 2 (significant safety risk, citing immunogenicity and impurity concerns) from 2023. On April 15, 2026, FDA removed injectable GHK-Cu from Category 2, in the same twelve-peptide action that also removed TB-500 and BPC-157, because the nomination behind that listing was withdrawn. As with those other peptides, that removal does not make compounding injectable GHK-Cu legal — it only lifts the "significant safety risk" flag while further review continues. That review has not started yet: injectable GHK-Cu was not among the peptides FDA's Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee reviewed at its July 23-24, 2026 meeting. FDA has said it will consult the committee on injectable GHK-Cu at a separate meeting to be held before the end of February 2027 — a hearing that, as of this page's last review, has not yet happened.
What the tool below actually does is narrower than that context might suggest: it takes the vial size, diluent volume, and dose you type in and returns the concentration and draw volume that arithmetic implies — nothing more. It cannot confirm that a particular vial is what its label claims, that the dose you enter is appropriate for you, that it is currently legal for a pharmacy to have compounded it, or that the product you drew that number from came from a legitimate source. A correct-looking syringe reading is not evidence that any of those things are true.
