Sermorelin dosage chart: what is documented, and what is not
Sermorelin has no FDA-approved dose today: its only approved brand, Geref, is discontinued. The documented figures are 30 µg/kg once a day under the skin (the pediatric trial behind Geref's approval), a single 1 µg/kg IV dose for a diagnostic test, and 200–300 µg a day reported from online adult protocols. None is a recommendation.

What sermorelin doses are documented?
| Use | Reported dose | Population / source | Evidence type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Diagnostic GH stimulation test | 1 µg/kg, single IV dose | Sermorelin's own clinical-review literature | Peer-reviewed review, diagnostic protocol |
| Historical pediatric GHD treatment | 30 µg/kg/day, SC, at bedtime | 110 GH-deficient children, up to 1 year, multicenter trial | Peer-reviewed pivotal trial (Geref International Study Group) |
| Reported adult self-administration | 200-300 µg/day, SC, typically at bedtime | Cited "bodybuilding-related" online source, per a 2026 review | Peer-reviewed review reporting an unregulated, non-clinical figure — not a trial |
The 30 µg/kg dose was given nightly for up to a year to 110 children with growth-hormone deficiency, under trial monitoring. It was never tested in adults.
What does 30 µg/kg come to at adult weights?
Arithmetic only. It shows how far the trial's per-kilogram dose sits from the flat 200–300 µg figure online protocols report — not a dose anyone has tested in adults.
| Body weight | Daily amount at 30 mcg/kg |
|---|---|
| 50 kg (110 lb) | 1,500 µg (1.5 mg) |
| 60 kg (132 lb) | 1,800 µg (1.8 mg) |
| 70 kg (154 lb) | 2,100 µg (2.1 mg) |
| 80 kg (176 lb) | 2,400 µg (2.4 mg) |
| 90 kg (198 lb) | 2,700 µg (2.7 mg) |
| 100 kg (220 lb) | 3,000 µg (3 mg) |
To turn a prescribed dose into a syringe reading: volume (mL) = dose (mg) ÷ concentration (mg/mL), and on a U-100 insulin syringe, units = mL × 100. Run it on your own vial's numbers with our sermorelin reconstitution calculator.
Sermorelin dosing: common questions
- Is there an official sermorelin dosage chart?
- No. Sermorelin's only FDA-approved brand, Geref, is discontinued, and DailyMed, the federal archive of approved drug labels, returns no current sermorelin label (checked October 2026). A chart that calls itself the official sermorelin dose is not quoting a current FDA source.
- What does 30 µg/kg work out to for an adult?
- At 70 kg (about 154 lb), 30 µg/kg is 2,100 µg (2.1 mg) a day. That is arithmetic on a dose tested only in children with growth-hormone deficiency; no trial has tested it in adults, and it is not a recommendation.
- How do I turn a prescribed sermorelin dose into syringe units?
- Divide the dose in mg by the vial's concentration in mg/mL to get mL; on a U-100 insulin syringe, units = mL × 100. The concentration depends on how much powder is in the vial and how much water was added, so use the numbers for your own vial.
