What the FDA-approved product's own application states
Sermorelin's only FDA-approved brand-name product, Geref (sermorelin acetate for injection), was approved in two vial strengths under NDA 020443: 0.5 mg per vial and 1 mg per vial — read directly off FDA's own Drugs@FDA record. Geref is discontinued (not for safety reasons) and was approved for diagnosing and treating growth-hormone deficiency in children, not the adult-wellness use compounded sermorelin is sold for today; see our evidence review of sermorelin, ipamorelin, and CJC-1295 for the full picture. This is a description of the branded product's vial strengths, not a recommendation for what a compounded dose should be — a compounded sermorelin vial is typically a different strength entirely, which is exactly what the calculator above works out from your own vial and diluent.
