A real route surprise, and a cardioprotective claim that's animal-only so far
Hexarelin's "cardioprotective" marketing claim is a real, repeated research finding — reduced infarct size and cardiomyocyte protection have been shown in multiple rodent and cell-culture studies. As of this review, that evidence is entirely preclinical: a 2026 peer-reviewed review states these findings "derive from animal and in vitro models and currently lack confirmatory evidence from human clinical trials."
The real published chronic human dosing studies for hexarelin, by contrast, did not use injection at all: a controlled 1996 study gave elderly adults hexarelin either intranasally (8 days) or orally (15 days), finding a real, sustained GH response with no desensitization over the treatment course. The one acute, single-dose human GH-stimulation study located for this compound used IV administration for a one-time diagnostic-style test — the basis for this calculator page — but the actual chronic-dosing evidence base points elsewhere.
No FDA-approved hexarelin product exists in any form, and — unlike its two GHRP-family siblings this site also covers — a live, direct search found hexarelin absent from both FDA's current 503A Bulks List and FDA's significant-safety-risks page entirely.
